Travis Chalmers joined Barsalou Lawson in 2004 as a
student and was admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada in June, 2008.
Travis graduated from
McGill University in 2007 with a B.C.L.-LL.B.
Before studying law, Travis received a Bachelor of Science with Honours and
Great Distinction in biochemistry from Concordia University, during which
time he held two NSERC research fellowships. He is also the recipient of the
Science College medal. He has three years of experience with academic and
industrial research laboratories in various fields including pharmacology,
organic chemistry, molecular biology, biochemistry, and ecology.
His practice focuses on tax litigation and dispute resolution, with
particular emphasis on transfer pricing and SR&ED tax credits issues. He is
also involved in selected tax planning matters.
Travis is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation. He is also a community
member of the Pediatric Research Ethics Board of the McGill University
Health Centre.
